Basically, its another collection of pointless links mostly nicked
from other blogs
Is That It?
Well, no, one day, I hope to break free from the bonds of having a day job and spend my time
floating round the med,
knocking up the occasional track for a cool label. Till then, this is my only outlet for
my compositions.
If you like Progressive tracks with nice breaks, you might like to listen you my latest, finished creation...well,
actually, its my only
*finished* creation, Celestial.
Download the MP3, Or stream
it.
The excellent vocals (in case you're wondering) were taken
from a track by Loreena
McKennitt called 'The Mystics Dream'.
One of the problems I have is actually finishing a track... No stamina y'see ;) I've got round this (sorta) by
stuffing all my unfinished
tracks into
Acid and creating one long mix. Whilst unfinished, they also represent the best stuff I've produced to
date...without sounding
self-congratulatory, its easily as
good as any of the other mixes...but just pure, homegrown Roguetrooper. Enjoy...(and play loud) Clicky Streamy Clicky downloady
The track I'm working on at the moment is a bit of a departure
for me. Normally I don't like long intros, but the beginning
to Gravity developed into this dark, broody soundscape. Its
a full 4 mins till any proper percussion kicks in which sounds
a long time, but its just right for the track (currently running
at 12 mins). Anyway, you can Stream the MP3 hopefully...
or download it(11Mb)
Heres what happens when you use Acid Pro as an mp3 sequencer..nearly an hour of beats n breaks.
Have a listen to Methodical or download it.
Want some more? heres another with Leftfield and
Hybrid (to mention a few). You
can download this too if you like.
Think I'm going to have to find a more permanent home for the mixes and stuff. judging by the amount of stuff I'm
churning out of the
Triton... Anyway, heres the Adam Freeland stuff mix from below on the blog...nice trancy, break filled mix that
hardens
somewhat towards the end when Joujouka arrive..However, its still only 135BPM and doesn't disrupt the flow too
much... Same as usual, you
can stream it or
download it...beware though, its
20Mb. Sounds best about
4am Sunday morning. Enjoy.
I was looking through my mp3 collection the other day and came across some depeche mode stuff I never realised I
had. Perfect excuse to
mix a few tracks up in acid and give the Basildon boys a breakbeat flavour. Its still a work in progress at the mo,
but I've since discovered
that DM and Breaks were made for each other. Have a listen and you'll hear what I mean. Download or Stream

I love Edward Goreys stuff, for lots more about Ed and his stuff, you should wander across to goreygraphy.com
I'm pretty much speechless at the moment.... I keep typing stuff and deleting it cos I just can't explain how totally amazed I feel.
Unitil I can find some appropriate words n stuff, heres a picture of Alexander Robert Thornton, born today at 12:23PM weighing 6lb 15oz. Both mum and baby are fine and currently resting at Sharoe Green Hospital in Preston
Its been a few days since I put anything other than a few links on here because I've been quite busy trying to coax Baby-X out from the depths of Wendys tum. She's really uncomfortable now and the bump is drum tight...so armed with a list of 'old wives tales' this weekend we set about trying to get Wendy off into labour.
First on the list has been the most 'traditional' and enjoyable method...still ongoing, but not really producing any results other than a broad smile on my face.
Next we tried a drive down the lovely bumpy seafront road at Southport followed by a hot curry when we got home... no result, apart from Wendy feeling giddy and some rather pungent farting from me the day after.
We gave castor oil a miss because some of the websites I looked at said it was dangerous
Some sites said that fresh pineapple works...but it doesn't
There are only 2 things we haven't tried one is for me to stroke Wendys nipples constantly for at least 2 hours and the other is what Midwives do... something called 'stroking the membrane'.... I think I'll give that one a miss actually
So, it looks like we'll have to wait until he decides to make his debut in his own time.
Anyway, I've spent some time looking round all my favourite sites this aftenoon for nice stuff to play with and came across this horoscope site on b3ta called Pessimystic Meg. According to the raven haired one, 'The kittten you just bought is Evil & Cursed! It will scratch your funiture, urinate on your curtains and shoes, crap behind your sofa and paw your bedroom door at 4 in the morning. On second thoughs.....it might not be cursed.

Did you like Tron? I loved it and I truly wanted to be Flynn. I used to sit in front of my ZX81 hoping that it would suck me in to a wondrous digital world where I could blaze around on light cycles. I still dream of that one day it will become a reality. until then, theres always this incredible looking game from cybermonkey.
I used to believe is a site devoted to childhood memories. Makes you realise that believing that you were the last surviving human and that friendly aliens had populated the planet with robots to keep you company wasn't all that strange.

I got an email the other day from a guy called 'Bruce I am the best' wishing me and Wendy well for our wedding, which I thought was really cool. I sent him an email back thanking him and asked him what it was, exactly, he was the best at. Turns out he's the best at knowing where to find some of the most stunning examples of flash on the net. Hyper stylish and ultra cool, they're really very, very good! He suggested I might add some to my blog. A damn fine idea Bruce. Go lookie see peeps!
After last weeks fiasco with the ring, which ParcelForce have now admitted was probably stolen from the depot, a ray of light shone into Wendys inbox. She'd been speaking to a guy called Fred at Furthers who dealt with our original order to ask him if there were any UK outlets for their excellent rings n' stuff (like this one)
Turns out there isn't, but Fred did something totally and utterly cool. He spoke to Bruce Boone who made the ring and he's offered to send us a ring via FedEx .... a RELIABLE carrier service... As a free replacement!!!
As a result, I have to say that Furthers and Bruce are the best groovy ring making peeps on the planet!! Not just because they make great rings, but because they have shown me and Wendy an unbelievably generous example of true customer service... Please go and look at their websites and recommend them to anyone you know who is getting married etc.
As for ParcelForce they are the worst carrier on the planet. Have a look on your friendly neighbourhood Search Enjun for 'Parcelforce failure' and you'll see what I mean.
